Affiliate Disclosure

ToolShelfAI is free to read, and we want to keep it that way. To fund the site — paying for testing subscriptions, writing, editing, and hosting — we participate in affiliate programs. When you click a link on our site and complete a purchase, we may receive a percentage of the sale.
You pay exactly the same price. Merchants include our commission in their standard pricing, so using our link costs you nothing extra.
How It Affects Our Coverage: It Doesn't
Affiliate relationships have zero effect on what we write or how we score a product. Our editorial rules are simple:
- We do not accept payment for coverage, placement, or higher ratings.
- Vendors cannot preview, edit, or veto a review before publication.
- We may recommend a product we earn nothing from, and we may criticize one we do.
- Where we test a product with a review account provided by the vendor, we say so in the article.
Our conclusions come from hands-on testing against a fixed set of criteria. If a tool deserves a low score, it gets one.
Programs We Participate In
We work with a handful of well-known software affiliate networks and direct partner programs, including Impact, CJ Affiliate, PartnerStack, and direct vendor programs. Commission rates vary by merchant and are not disclosed to us in advance of writing any article.
How Affiliate Links Are Marked
Affiliate links are disclosed in two ways:
- An affiliate callout — the box at the top of pages containing them, like the one above.
- A rel="sponsored" attribute on outbound links, so browsers, crawlers, and assistive tools can identify them.
Not every outbound link is an affiliate link. If a link takes you to a product we mention but have no commercial relationship with, it is a plain link and earns us nothing.
Reviews and Comparisons
In reviews and comparisons, we summarize our testing and name a winner based on the evidence we gathered. Where an affiliate relationship exists for both tools in a comparison, it makes no difference to which one we pick. If we cannot reach a meaningful conclusion, we say it is a tie rather than manufacture a verdict.
